We approach « off the beaten track » Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in the Caucasus, riding along ridges and summits and enjoying the immensity of the high plateaus (3100m).
We also ride into incredible canyons, passing by waterfalls and visiting hidden caves and stay with horsemen and a herd of 150 Kabardin horses living free around our tents.

Caucasus Expedition is a pioneering local agency in Georgia specialised in remote expeditions on horseback and on foot. Over 20 years, Audrey and her team have been one of the only organisations to offer self sufficient horse riding trails lasting several days through the Great Caucasus Mountains. Known for her unusual and unique « off beaten tracks » routes she found and created in Tusheti, Azerbaijan and Kabardino Balkaria, Audrey together with local friends take you beyond the mountains. On a multi days horseback riding trails, long hiking itineraries, riders and hikers will discover behind the scenes of Georgia. Our newborn is HORSERIDING GEORGIA which is offering Autumn and Spring horseback expedition in the semi desert close to the wintering place of our horses.
Our trips & expeditions 2026
Since the beginning of our activities, we have worked for a local economic development (valorization of the local products, sales without intermediaries …), the promotion of aboriginal culture and traditions and have rewarded our collaborators on a fair distribution of our gains. We organise our horse riding and hike expeditions with the greatest environmental respect in terms of quantity of waste and pollution. All of our trips are very close to the local population.
