WILD TUSHETI HORSEBACK EXPEDITION 2026
Departure dates in July August and September 26
We start our horseback trekking in the heart of the National Park and more precisely in Borchorna, known in Georgia as the highest village in Europa. It remains very traditional, full of Tush atmosphere.
During this trip, we ride over passes lying at around 3000m, reach some very secluded areas offering outstanding sceneries, cross turbulent mountain rivers, high plateaus and crests. We may meet the last half nomads of the Georgian Caucasus mountains settled down in the high pastures during the summer and share a piece of life with the Tush people. We discover the Tush and Georgian cultural heritage. This ride is taking place in some high mountains area, following a bit of the Tush way of life to enjoy the profound Caucasus Mountains. We will be in some very secluded and remote areas without any civilisation, so be prepared for an immersive nature experience.
In July, explosion of flowers. A horseback adventure across landscapes of dazzling colors and extraordinary floral diversity.
In August, it’s the best time to enjoy dry, sunny weather. Streams are still flowing, and evenings invite you to relax outdoors under skies filled with shooting stars.
In September, nature transforms into a breathtaking palette of autumn colours. Forests turn to shades of green, gold, and deep red — Tusheti becomes an impressionist painting brought to life.
