Travelling with us, what does it mean?<\/span><\/h2>\n

The traveler<\/span><\/h3>\n

The traveler goes opened minded with a free and curious spirit. He is moving at a human pace allowing him to discover the world and looking at it with another perspective : human vs human! He adapts himself to the other, impregnates himself of his entourage, communicates. He moves forward without preconceived ideas or psychological barriers and he immerses himself in the environment in which he is living in.
\nWith his senses heightened he observes, listens and is aware of his surroundings. Travelling may be an itinerant life style but not only, travelling may lead to settle down for some time, integrate an ethnic group, a clan, any population groups. The traveller may be linked irrationally (at a first glimpse but in reality\u2026) to a place from which he is not able to break off.
\nThe peregrination of the traveler has no temporal boundary, may have a geographical goal or not. If yes, this goal is so flexible that it is rarely reached and often changes according to the circumstances of the travellers life. It requires a real letting go and flexibility to seize, enjoy, experience every moment and also overcome the present with carelessness and a bit of fatalism.
\nTo abandon oneself in full consciousness in the journey and to experience it fully cannot be done without this faculty of being able to get rid of its life schemes, shackles, habits and landmarks. Put in to question and be able to reset our life style and way of thinking related to our educational and cultural background is the first requirement to better appreciate and understand the people originating from a different culture. This is one of the most difficult part to be able to understand and accept it, precisely where this quest for the unknown and personal enrichment have its real meaning.
\nObviously, we do not all have the possibility, the strength or the desire to afford this luxury of carelessness and absolute freedom, to choose a life exposed to precariousness, nomadism or temporary sedentary lifestyle.
\nAlso these trips aim to make you experience in a limited time space this addicting feeling of long-distance travel, neither planned nor punctuated by imposed stops. Our road, roughly imagined at first, will be shaped by encounters, hazards or any other event even insignificant in appearance. Caucasus Expedition<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

Caucasus Expedition is not a large travel agency but simply a structure on a human scale that will do its best to share with you a moment of relaxation and change of scenery. We live among the Tush population, the last semi-nomadic ethnic group of Georgia in the Greater Caucasus. Our base camp: The Tusheti. It is undoubtedly one of the last Georgian mountain regions where you will still feel the breath of Chamyl, will be enchanted by its mysteries and impressed by the conditions of the locals. You will be amazed by the simplicity and beauty of this life in symbiosis with the natural elements that surround it.<\/p>\n

Whether you choose a horseback expedition<\/a>, a hiking trip<\/a>, a special trip<\/a> or combining the Caucasian countries<\/a>, our wish is to make you travel beyond the landscapes, to soak up the Caucasian atmosphere, to let yourself be carried away by these beautiful wilderness. In total immersion, you will meet the locals, participate in their daily life, their traditions, stay in typical houses … like and with them. You share rare and authentic moments because the journey, much more than a sumptuous panorama, is revealed through the local population.<\/p>\n

Audrey recognized each of the routes, met and woven links with the locals. We are talking about year (s) to develop an itinerary: whether they are Georgians, Touchs, Svans, Azerbaijanis of Lezguian origin, Tat, Talysh or Qetish, Abkhaz or Armenians, Adygeans or Ossetian, all the speakers are people from trust with whom Audrey has close relationships. They became friends or close partners. They are shepherds, peasants, bulb repairers, farmers or village hairdressers.<\/p>\n
